I first encountered it in a YouTube makeup tutorial and thought I'd give this small size a try. I've been using oil-based eye makeup removers because I wear long-wear, waterproof eyeliners, but had been looking for an alternative because the oil bothered my eyes and made me wake up with puffy bags - bad! I've also used other water-based "drugstore" brand removers, and they stung my eyes if even a little got in and didn't work well on my industrial-strength makeup. This product, however, is very gentle and doesn't sting unless I get a lot in my eyes. It doesn't remove long-wear liner as fast as the oil-based removers do, but here's the trick: hold the soaked cotton pad against your lid and massage it (don't rub!) around the lid and lashes for 10-15 seconds or so. Pull it away, and voila! Clean as a whistle.
This was the first micellar water cleanser that I ever tried that really changed my makeup removal game.
I bought this from Guardian but it came at quite a hefty price tag, which is my only problem with the product. This product is honestly so amazing! It smells incredible, not too overwhelming and it smells very fresh. It leaves your skin feeling really really soft and after repeated use, you can even see your face becoming more radiant.
I use this for a variety of purposes, it's really great for even perfecting the flick on your cateye eyeliner with a wet q-tip. Unlike oil removal products, this allows me to put makeup on top of the cleaned up spot which allows small touch ups to be so much more convenient.
In overall, this is a fantastic product that I really really love and cannot get enough of. Sadly, the price tag is quite a high one and with so man similar replacements on the market which work just as well (but don't smell as great) I think I'll only buy these when I'm feeling especially rich.
A water based makeup remover. I purchased this product when the hupe over micellar water started. This product helps to remove makeup extremely well, without causing irritation to the skin. It can be a little bit drying as I felt that my skin was a little tight after a few hours. Even though this product works well, the price can be a little steep. I have since switched to other brands of micellar water, especially those from Japanese brands as I they can be equally effective but are at a lower price point.
I heard a lot of good reviews about the Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micelle Solution. So I decided to try it out for myself. It claims to cleanse and remove makeup without causing irritation, which does exactly that. It does not sting or irritate my eyes when removing eye makeup like most makeup removers do. This mild solution is suitable for those who have sensitive and dry skin as it is alcohol-free and fragrance-free. It is a bit on the pricey side but it is worth investing on and would repurchase it again. A cheaper option would be the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water as it is very similar. Overall I didn’t get any break outs after using this and it did not leave my skin feeling greasy or sticky.
This water based make up remover is one of the item that I will repurchase again. The main reason is because it is water based, so we can choose not to rinse our face after we used it. Normally I will just used pour it into a cotton pad and wipe it on my face. To make sure that my face is clean from any make up, normally I will used up to 3 cotton pads. Mean I will wipe my face 3 times. With 3 times, basically all my foundation, eyebrow and brusher make up can remove completely. The only problem is it can't really remove my eyes make up like eyeliner and mascara. And this product also not suitable to use to remove eyes make up because it will cause your eyes become very dry and red. After finish wiped, it is advisable to apply toner or moisturize product to your face. Because I did feel my skin very dry and tight(maybe due to I wipe my face 3 times). But, overall it still a good product for people who lazy to rinse their face after using make up remover.
A non-rinse cleanser and make-up remover that respects the fragility of sensitive skin. Suitable for Sensitive to intolerant skin.
