The product is package in a pencil like form with a small sharper behind. It is cute and portable. The shade that I got is #49. Texture wise it glides smoothly on eyelids, very permanent without smudging for almost the whole day. But I doubt its ability to act as an eyeshadow. I try to blend and smudge it with my hand or a cotton tip but it just can't smudge around my eyes. It dries too quickly that after I draw a line it just stuck there. When I try to blend it by force, viola the line will be rub off. So why this pencil claim that it can be a shadow when it can't. I don't know is this only the problem for this shade or it's the texture for the others also. And it is just so so so hard to clean this liner. It can be melt away only with oil base remover. But it shades into small pieces and sometimes fall into my eyes when I rub them off. This is so disappointing. I don't think I'll ever buy another color again even though the color of this pencil is so pretty.
I got this as a free gift from the KL Etude House branch.
Texture:Texture of these pencils are all creamy, budge proof (except for a few, I'll get to that in a minute), and crazy pigmented. In less then a minute, the pencils set and they do not budge. I actually was playing with them right when I got them and decided to leave them on the back of my hand to see if they would smudge off when I went to sleep. Yes, I slept with the colors on the back of my hand. And to my surprise, they all stayed vibrant and did not smudge! About 80% was still on the back of my hand, I was super impressed!!! The only colors that completely rubbed off was the designated lip colors (number 12 and 15) since they are glossy finish.
Overall:I think you would have thought this is another sponsored post, but I did buy these with my own hard earned money. Even though I am a pink bird, I still am a consumer that spends her money on beauty products and I will tell you if a product is poo. But this product is far from poo, it truly is quite amazing. There are plenty of shades to choose from, tons of different finishes, and so cheap too. I would get all of the shades but I do have a lot of other liners that resemble the same shades so I didn't get them all. These would be super convenient for those that do keep make up in their bags, this would reduce weight and space in your bag with how multi purpose these are. I give these 5/5 stars and three thumbs up :). Yes I know I don't have three thumbs, but I really do love these so I'll find a third thumb just to show you how in love I am with these.
I bought mine in #50 (dark brown) from Etude House outlet but I remember that it is kind of pricey. The packaging is pencil type with twist and turn function and it has a mini "sharpener" on top, which saves space and is innovative. The texture of the pencil is creamy but after a while, it hardens, making it a little difficult to use as an eyeliner.
I use it to tight line my eyelid or use it to draw on as eyeliner. I discover that it can be used to give a softer look as an eyeliner. The impressive thing is that it can be a good eyeliner pencil for beginners and the annoying thing is that is has hardened and is difficult to draw on after a few months.
I would recommend this product to beginners who have trouble with liquid eyeliner as this does not smudge easily. However, buying this 101 pencil in different shades can be very expensive.
This series of pencil are so easy to draw on, either to use as eyeliner, eye highlight, lip colour or eye shadow. Sometimes I even use it as blusher! I like how this series has so many colours, people always like more choices right? The colours are very complete too. If I would like to this as eye shadow, I will draw few lines on lids and quickly blend it out before it dries. My eye shadow can last pretty long because it does not fade easily like some powder type shadow. One cons, it smudges when I use it as eyeliner.
This pencil doesn't smudge easily and pretty much usable for any purposes. It has 50 different colour but I love black the most because I can use it as my eyeliner. Shimmery Champagne is my 2nd fav because it makes my eyes appear bigger. It's waterproof and doesn't break easily. Along with the pencil, there's actually a mini sharpener behind it so you don't have to actually buy shapener. It suits my city's weather so I don't have to worry much about sweating all day long.
