i'm a huge fan of lip balms and personally i feel the most exciting thing in life is finishing a tube so you can try out new ones!! i tried this one a month ago and i would say it's just so-so. it's definitely moisturising, no doubt, but i'd say it doesn't last that long since the texture is kinda... watery. could be just a biased opinion due to personal preference, but i find that balms with a slightly more balmy consistency offer better hydrating power! does have a really sweet strawberry scent though, which isn't as strong or harsh as others. i generally love mentholatum products but sad to say their lip balms are a tad bit disappointing.
i just like the natural pinkish color of it. you can always increase the intensity of the pink color by gliding a few more times. the moisturizing effect is average. i have to apply a few times throughout the day. i am fine with the smell. i always use it whenever i am not using any lipstick. the stick is thin where you can stuff it easily in the bag. bought it from the local drug store.
I got the strawberry one from Watsons at around RM12.
Like the green Metholatum one that I've used before, it is very moisturising (must reapply consistently). It prevents my lips from drying out under the sun. It also has SPF15 like the green one.
It is more buttery than the green one in my opinion which makes it very moisturising. It feels minty on the lips but it doesn't smell like strawberry, which is kind of disappointing since I expected it to have the sweet strawberry scent.
The colour doesn't show immediately on application. It appears after a few seconds and I like the colour. It gives life to my lips, making my whole look more 'alive'.
Overall I would recommend it! It is my favourite brand after all and it does a great job at keeping my lips smooth and moisturised.
Packaging is slim and handy, I always pop this in my bag everywhere I go.
When my lips are dry, I'd skip my lipstick and use this instead to avoid the flaky look.
This looks more natural when applied. I love this because it avoids my lips from looking pale and yet it moisturizes my lip well.
But I have to reapply this after eating or drinking and yes it'll stain my cup or anything white, so I have to be super careful.
But I love how easy it is to use, I don't need a mirror when applying this so it's definitely worth the buy
Got a sample from Mentholatum. It came in a small stick (quite generous amount of product, about 1.5 cm long) but unfortunately, there's a crack in the cover, which I think it led to the product breaking off from the bottom support. So I had to apply it on my lips carefully or use my fingers instead. I'm not amazed by the moisturizing properties because my lips look kinda dehydrated a few hours. However, I'm quite happy with the color change. Just one glide, a very natural pink. You can layer it up to add up to the color intensity that you're looking for.
LipIce Sheer Colour is a unique color changeable lipbalm. It goes on clear and gradually changes color to a sheer pink which further enhances the natural beauty of your lips.
