This petroleum jelly works absolute wonders on my skin and is a true life-saver whenever I get dry, cracked or reddened patches on my face and or body. It is also really effective as a sort of sealant after you've applied ointments and or moisturizers as it really stays on the skin and for people who have eczema, you'll know that moisturizers usually slip off and or rub off onto clothes after application. Vaseline really seals all the goodness in and acts as a barrier from the air; really soothing for when you're skin gets super dry and itchy. However, it does form a visible oily film on your skin and also has the tendency to make your skin sticky so things like hair strands and fabric fibres do get stuck onto them often. I would recommend only using this at night after showering. Other than that, this product is great!
I got this when I ran out of Vanicream. This moisturized my hands and it absorbs quickly. It did not leave any oily or sticky residue that made me uncomfortable holding stuff. My hand recovered in a week after using this.A little goes a long way and a tub would last me for a long time.I wish it was in a tube instead of a tub for hygiene purposes.
I bought this product at Guardian. I like that it is fragance free and the texture is not as thick that you feel like your skin can't breathe. I have quite a lot of eczema breakouts on my face. Generally, my eczema stays to my face and hands. I've decided to try this up in hopes that it wouldn't irritate my skin and trigger the eczema. And.it worked wonders. I find that it moisturizes my skin without irritating my eczema. It also has SPF in it which is good because I live in a hot climate country. Generally, it's worth the price.
This. This. Is. A. God. Sent. Personally i don't have bad skin. My boyfriend, however, looks like his skin cells are fighting with each other. I introduced him to this after seeing his eczema. After applying it to his skin everyday for 2 months, his. eczema. fully. healed. Tbh i didn't believe in this product because personally it didn't make that much of a difference, but it changed my boyfriend's skin for life. He has spent thousands on dermatologists and medication for his condition, and it was this gel that healed him. Sadly I don't have before and after pictures, but, guys, take my word for it. This is best for problematic skin which can't take moisturising products that are too thick, because this product has a thin-ish consistency.
This is the best make up remover I have used so far as it doesn't irritate my eczema and dry skin. I feel like it really removes everything and doesn't burn crack dry skin. The only thing it doesn't remove for me is mascara, but I can use an oil to dissolve the mascara first, and then use a soaked cottonpad in bioderma to remove the excess! It's a bit pricey but its worth it!
I first bought Soap & Glory when I discovered it in Boots pharmacy when I was in Bangkok. The product is in a simple baby pink tub packaging and have an amazing smell too (bonus point)!. The beads are not too abrasive and the consistency is like a paste with tiny sugary beads when you apply it to your skin. A little goes a long way for this scrub and the whole tub could last me about 3-4 months - quite an affordable price too. I will gently scrub in circular motion and voila, my skin feels silky smooth! I will use this once a week and realised that the condition of my skin has improved and no more flaky skin. Really lives up to its name - flakes away from your skin and leg, hello smooth and silky skin! Highly recommend this to anyone with dry skin.
Got this via Hermo because of my dry skin. I usually slather the gel on my legs and arms every night. It keeps my skin smooth, supple and cool, and has helped reducing the dryness. I sometimes use it on my face as well. Happy with the results thus far, though do note that it has to be used consistently every day to see a change. One thing I like about this is that it isn't very sticky. So it's easy for my to go about doing other things while waiting for it to be absorbed into my skin.
My skin gets really dry when I travel to colder places. Even spending long hours in libraries or lecture halls and on the plane, my skin gets dry and my lips get chapped and start to crack. I use this when I feel like my skin is drying up. One little dab of this and the moisture is retained in an instant! I never knew how useful this would be. Now i carry it with me all the time. Just rub it on any part of your skin that feels dry and the moisture will be recovered in an instant! Also, I love how it comes in so many sizes. I prefer taking the smaller sized tube as it fits in my tiny bags!
I've had a time in my life when my skin were dry to the extend that it's peeling and flaky. Was recommended to try this out and it really saved my skin within a week without clogging my pores. It's more to water base than cream as it is not sticky. However, only apply what you need as it can be rather oily for me when I accidentally apply a little too much.
The packaging is nothing special as its just a basic packaging. This product manages to get off majority of makeup but a double wash is required to get it off fully. Downside of the product is that it leaves dry skin slightly flaky. Have not recommended this product to anyone yet as I was not left impressed due to the flaking part as I have dry skin .
didn't feel dryness after use… bu t not good in cover pigmentation…
It is the perfect solution to combat dryness during winter season, and the price is affordable. Will always apply a thick layer after my shower when overseas so that my skin will not be flaky due to the cold season and irritate my skin. It is multifunction and can also be apply over the lips area. It can be a tad too oily for some people.
i used this waterbank gel cream every night as a moisturizer. The gel cream is a clear gel which is said to moisturize your skin throughout the night. There is a spatula to scoop out the product so you wouldn't contaminate any of the product with your hands. The gel cream indeed moisturizes the skin, and has a light scent. After applying the gel cream the night before, my skin is somewhat brighter the next day. However, after experimenting with some other gel creams, i found that the Water Bank is not as hydrating & moisturizing. As my skin is sensitive & on the drier side, i would prefer a product that is more hydrating.
I got this at the local Etude House brick and mortar store. the toner itself is colourless and the scent is what I would call non-offensive; pretty neutral and fresh, though you can smell the alcohol. The product really does work for those with oily skin, but it might be drying for other skin types so be careful! It takes about 8-10 months before you can really notice your pores becoming less obvious, so it's a gamble as to whether it works for you since it took a while in my experience. I'd recommend the Mandarin and Parsley toner from Skinfood over this one for anyone with oily skin, because it also helps with irritated and inflamed skin, though I haven't seen much effect with pores.
I bought the 500 mL bottle and it lasted me a very long time. After all ths while, I feel like it did nothing for my skin, only to make my skin fresher but tighter after applying post-shower. Do take note that Alcohol is very high on the ingredients list so while it gives you the refreshing feeling, it dries out your face very easily. I noticed that my pores will secrete more oil after using this in a short period of time. I wouldn't recommend this product for people with dry skin.
The first time I received this product, I kept pressing the button to let the concealer out, but after multiple presses, I still couldn't get any. Until I did it just a little too much Tip #1, be patient or you'll end up wasting a lot of the concealer like me! Anyway, this works pretty great in covering light scars and the redness around my nose area. I also use it to define my eyebrows. Sometimes on my lips as well and I couldn't be more happier with the results!
I use it during daytime and nighttime. I discovered that it helps to clean my face thoroughly. The most impressive thing about this product is it reduces my skin redness. I will recommend this product to my friends and family.
I bought this face wash from watsons as I have skin with a darker skintone, desperately wanting to whiten my skinThe price was about rm 18-25it comes in a tub which is really hygenic and so water wouldn't get insidethe scent of this washer is okay, nothing special and not too overwhelimg,it was fine for methe texture of this cleanser was creamy ,just a little and you could lather up a lot of bubbleI felt my skin being dried out after using this just once, and the second to third time using this, my skin became red and itchyAnd I was worried,so I stopped using it I didn't see any brightening or whitening effects, and it even made my skin redso I wouldnt really recommend this face wash, especially not recommended for people with super dry skin like mine
I used to have sensitive skin especially my cheeks and chin after a long day at outdoor. B.liv masks are good, help to soothe my red skin, I bought additional one more box of this (7 pieces) from Hermo during sales. It was less than RM30 per box (what a good deal!). It has a mild scent, still acceptable. Its silk paper fit my face well. Apply this on cleaned and toned face for 15-20 minutes. Then remove it and gently massage until fully absorb. My skin is not so red right after the massage. However, the essence is a bit too rich, feel a bit sticky. Luckily it never break me out. Don't have to rinse it off, rich enough to replace moisturizer. High recommended!
First, select the signs and symptoms of your skin
Your skin type is
Sensitive skin is prone to damage from environmental factors (wind, sun and cold weather). Your skin is often red and blotchy and allergy to cosmetics is common. Use fragrance-free facial washes and moisturisers and it's best to avoid skin exfoliants.
If your skin is sensitive, try to find out what your triggers are so you can avoid them. There are many possible reasons, but often it's in response to particular skin care products.
Your skin type is
Oiliness can change depending upon the time of year or the weather.
Your skin type is
Your skin is smooth and radiant because it reflects light evenly. Your complexion is balanced (not too oily or too dry), and you rarely have breakouts. You don't notice any changes in your skin throughout the day and can try many kinds of products without having a reaction. With no signs of oily or dry areas, the skin is soft and smooth with good elasticity and firmness. Your skin's pores are small to medium sized. It is best to use products that maintain hydration and water-based moisturisers.
No apparent oily or dry areas and skin appears balanced. It is the least problematic of all skin types. Your complexion is supple, healthy and clear with good circulation.
Normal skin can fluctuate between all the skin types, but won't do so radically or for an extended period of time. While it’s the ideal skin type, it still requires regular care to keep skin and oil production in healthy unity.
Your skin type is
Acne-prone skin can tend toward the oily side, but is often a combination of all skin types. Sometimes referred to as combination skin, acne-prone skin can also be dry, sensitive or mature. The obvious factor of acne-prone skin is raised lesions appearing on or under the skin.
Though spots can be painful and irritating, it is important to be gentle with skin. Try not to pick or squeeze spots and let them heal on their own. A natural spot treatment and a selection of natural and organic products formulated with spot treating remedies will help. Be sure to pay close attention to your diet and any external factors that may trigger spots to appear.
Your skin type is
Your skin can crack, peel, or become itchy, irritated, or inflamed. If it’s very dry, it can become rough and scaly, especially on the backs of your hands, arms, and legs.
Your skin type is
Your skin can be dry or normal in some areas and oily in others, such as the T-zone (nose, forehead, and chin). Many people have this type. Slightly different care in different areas maybe needed.
With a little tender loving care, it is possible to tame combination skin. The key to balancing oiliness and dryness is with gentle cleansers and regular exfoliating to remove dead skin cells and combat acne. Regular exfoliating could mean anywhere from daily to weekly, and it's best to let your skin decide. Water-based products are ideal.
